It Feels immense pleasure and happiness to inform you all that Dattatreya Navaratri Utsav for 15 Days (2 February - 16 February 2022) and Guru Pratipada and Gopal Kavala festival in Ganagapur (The day when 2nd incarnation of Datta Maharaj has concluded his avataar in Gangapur by keeping Nirgun Paduka in Nirgun Math Ganagapur ), Meanwhile the festival will be runned as below.
(2 February 2022) - Datta Navaratri starts for 15 days (Akhanda Nandadeep)
(16 February 2022) - Full moon day in temple and No Paduka Pooja on that day being as Avataar samapti day and Special Keshar (Saffron) lepan pooja will be offered to Main and Padukas will be brought from Main Garbhalaya to temple and paduka will be closed ( Main Darshan will be closed for the day)
(17 February 2022) - As Datta Maharaj has left the Paduka in Ganagapur on Maagha Vadya.1 ( As per Hindu mythology calendar) Guru Pratipada Sri Narashima Saraswathi Swami Maharaj Paduka Kept and continued his journey to Srishaila as a ritual of Avatar samapti and on the same Day Yati poojan will be conducted Many Sanyaasi’s will be invited for Guru Yati Poojan at 4 PM.
(20 February 2022) - Datta Maharaj’s Palakhi will go to Rudrapaad Teerth (one of the Ashta Teerth) for Avabhrutha (Amruta) Snaan as in the holy book Gurucharitra it has mentioned that swami will send the flowers in river in terms of proof that swamy has safely reached to Shrishailam. At 12 PM in temple Gopaalkaal will be celebrated in Nirgun Math Datta temple (A mud pot contains curd) will be broken as a part of ritual.
On these special days various religious holy activities like Rudrabhishek, Annadan, Bhiksha, Nandadeep Seva, Gurucharitra Parayan, Datta Yagna, and other sevas will be performed in the temple for the welfare of the family and as well as to seek blessing of Guru for the upcoming years.
Being the priest of Dattatreya temple and well-wisher of you we request you to visit Ganagapur once in this period to witness all the above things and get blessing of Shri Narasimha Saraswati (2nd Incarnation of Lord Dattatreya). By any reason if it’s not possible to visit personally below is the way to do all seva’s and get God’s grace.
If you want to perform any seva or want to participate any activities in your absence please give us a call and share your details like Name, Gotra, Nakshatra, Sankalpam, family details and any other issue which they are facing to perform the sevas in temple as per their choice and wish.
Anyone interested for the above can let us know on below provided number for further additional information. Once the sevas are completed prasadam can be sent through Post/Courier.
