It Feels immense pleasure and happiness to inform you all that “Maha Shivaraatri” Shivaraatri is an auspicious Hindu festival for Shankar Bhagwaan followers with strict fasting. Since Datta Maharaj is combination of all I.e. Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar it is important festival in Ganagapur as well and which is celebrated in temple in very good manner.
The one day importance’s as follows
(1st March 2022) - Early morning 2.30AM Kakad Arathi and Samsthan pooja with Rudrabhishek and Special Keshar (Saffron) lepan pooja will be offered to Main and Padukas. At 12.30 Maha Bhiksha (Fasting special) will be distributed to all devotees who seek Bhiksha on that day.
Temple again will open for special Pooja called “Yaama Pooja याम पूजन” which will start at 12AM mid night and concludes at 4 AM.
The Yama pooja is very Auspicious and holy in Hindu Mythology where all Shiva related Mantra’s like Rudravartan, continuous flow of Water and milk, Panchamruta on the Main Ganagapur’s Shiva Ling( Chamak, Namak ) will be chanted by large number along with Laghu Nyaas, Maha Nyaas with presence of all temple priests and other Village Brahmins the same will be witnessed by devotees and Village people in the mentioned time.
On this special day i.e. “Yaama Pooja day याम पूजन दिवस ” various religious holy activities like Rudrabhishek, Annadan, Bhiksha, Nandadeep Seva, Gurucharitra Parayan, Datta Yagna, and other sevas will be performed in the temple for the welfare of the family and as well as to seek blessings of Guru Dattatreya for the upcoming days.
